Obituary of Charles Goff
Charles Donald Goff Sr. Donnie, 64, went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2017 at his daughters home in Senatobia, Mississippi after a long battle with heart and liver disease. Visitation is Wednesday at 1100am til 2 pm with the funeral service to follow at Memorial Funeral Home in Tunica, Mississippi with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Tunica, Mississippi. Memorial Funeral Home in Tunica are handling the arrangements. Mr. Goff was born October 18, 1953 to the late Everette E. Goff and Myrtle M. Goff in Tunica, Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had many jobs during his lifetime including a painter, an EMT, a police officer, and retired as a security supervisor at Bally's Casino. He was an avid gardener. He loved to cook and fish. He spent his past time with his brothers grilling out. He loved to go to the "River" to fish and watch the Mississippi. He spent his quite time reading The Bible. He loved the Lord and his family. Survivors include his children, Charles D. Goff Jr. (Marsha) of Helena, Ark., Shawn Dowty Carvan (Chris) of Enid, MS and Julie Russom (Jeremy) of Senatobia, Ms.; his grandchildren are Ashlee "Josie" Dowty, Brianna "Halfpint" Campbell, Hannah "Butter Bean" Dowty, Gabrielle "Little Bit" Goff, Zachary "Little Man" Campbell and Sara Beth (Goff) Tidwell. His brothers are Joe Goff (Linda), Marvin "Poss" Goff (Linda), Billy Goff (Susie), Roger Goff, and a twin brother Ronnie Goff. His sisters are Judy Goad, Kathy Caston, Rheda Goff and Lynn Goff all of Southaven, Ms. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Janie Kelly, and two nephews Patrick and Marcus.
