Obituary of Earline Starks

Earline Starks was born April 9th, 1939 in Lyon, Mississippi to the late Louise Givens and Izear Givens. A Time to accept Christ: She confessed life to Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Clair M. B. Church of Lyon, MS. After moving to Bobo, MS, she became a member of Shiloh M. B. Church and remained a faithful member and devoted Mother under the present leadership of her son, Pastor Norman Starks. A wake will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 from 2:00-5:00pm at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 1:00pm at Union Grove Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS. with burial in the Oakridge Cemetery. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. The Legacy of Life: Earline was a devoted mother to her children and many others. Earline had an extremely big heart; to know her was to love her. One of Earline favorite sayings was "You got to pray for yourself" Earline was preceded in death by her mother and father, Louise Givens and Izear Givens; Husband, Lennell Starks; two children Lenell Starks, Jr. and Charles Mitchell; two great grandchildren, Darrien Ranson and Carlie Starks; two sisters, Fannie Nora Lee Brown and Ida Mae Givens Zanders; One brother, Dewhitt Givens and one Son-in-law, Wesley Ranson, Jr. Mother and Father in law; Willie & Ola Mae Starks, One Sister in law; Betty Woodfork, Six Brother in laws; Harvey, Nebraska, Vans, Willie, Jr., Jack, David. Earline leaves to cherish her memories: six children, Maerine Ranson, Tearethia (Timothy) Starks Daniel, Norman(Roynesia) Starks and Curtis Starks all of Clarksdale, MS, Dexter (Shun) Starks of Louisville, KY and Eric Starks of Macon, GA; three Sisters Ellen Francis Starks of Clarksdale, MS, Mildred Givens Eckford and Linda Givens of Bobo, MS; three brothers; Izear (Judy) Givens, Jr of Helena-West Helena, AR, Rayfield (Lucille) Givens of Florissant, MO and Lewis (Beatrice) Givens of Buckeye, AZ. One Aunt, Rosie Lee Lewis; One Uncle, Tommy Lee Phillips; Eight Brother in laws; Henry Keys, Frankie(Alice) Muskin, Willie (Ruby) Muskin, Otha Muskin, Vince Muskin, Gwin Muskin, Calvin Muskin, Willie James Johnson. Six Sisters in laws; Mary Johnson, Susie Haywood, Susie Brinston, Delores Muskin, Dorothy Muskin, Barbara Muskin. Eleven grandchildren, Eighteen great-grandchildren, Nine great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
