Visitation is Thursday January 14, 2021, 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Meredith-Nowell Chapel in Clarksdale, MS. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements. Amy was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and served on the school board at St. Elizabeth Catholic School. Survivors include her husband of 13 years Don Dixon of Clarksdale, MS; sons Nathan Hendon of Olympia, WA, Colton and Hunter Dixon of Clarksdale, MS; daughter Kaitlyn Hendon Fulton (Daniel) of Oxford, MS; sister Beth Shumate (Gray) of Jasper, AL; and grandchild Theo Hendon of Olympia, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Gary C. and Mary Frances Gilbert DeFore. Memorials may be sent to St. Elizabeth Catholic School or LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
