Obituary of Ricky Ferguson

Ricky Jerrell Ferguson passed away November 6, 2018 at his home at the age of 67.

Ricky was an active member of Oakhurst Baptist Church, where he was an assistant Sunday School teacher and taught the Bible Study for Celebrate Recovery.

He retired from Cooper Tire after working there for over thirty years. He then worked at Moore Paper and Janitorial Supply for thirteen years. At the age of 62, he decided to retire for good. He enjoyed helping Paul Pearson at Delta Muffler, where he spent a lot of time with his friends. Ricky loved his family and was a proud Daddy and Pappy.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Ferguson of Clarksdale; two sons, Tully Ferguson (Michele) of Kansas City, MO and Christopher Ferguson (Ashley) of Clanton, AL and one daughter, Courtney Ferguson Napier (Jack) of Newton, KS. He also had six grandsons: Samuel Napier, Russell Napier, Easton Ferguson, Emmett Ferguson, Charlie Napier, and Benjamin Napier, and five granddaughters: Brayleigh Ferguson, Ellison Ferguson, Evie Ferguson, Lucy Ferguson, and Amelia Napier. He loved his two sisters: Sherry Cook (Larry) of Clarksdale and Kay Harris (Jeff) of Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerrell and Ruble Ferguson of Clarksdale.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Sunday November 11, 2018 at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale, MS with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Clarksdale, MS. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is in charge of arrangements.
