Obituary of Annie Willis

Ann Carlene Luther Willis, 87, a retired supervisor at Kroger, died Saturday August 25, 2018 at home. Visitation is Wednesday August 29, 2018, 1:00-2:00pm at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 2:00pm Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksdale, MS with burial in the Memorial Gardens. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements. Our "Nanny" was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her Selfless, giving nature and kind, gentle spirit will always be remembered and lives on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that cherished every moment spent with her. She lived life serving others. She was committed to family and was a constant source of support and encouragement. She readily shared her sweet smiles, gentle hugs and clever wit with those who came in contact with her daily. She will surely be missed but never forgotten. Survivors include sons Ronnie (Merri) Willis of Destin, FL, Scotty (Beverly) Willis of Mansfield, TX; daughter Debbi Willis (Buddy) Bennett of Clarksdale, MS; 8 grandchildren Morgan (Jason) Wood, Ashley (Chris) Ferracci, Ronnie Willis, Jr., Anders Willis, Clay (P.J.) Willis, Mark Willis, Brantley Willis, Heather Willis; 5 great grandchildren Carley Wood, Rylan Ferracci, Max Ferracci, Lynnlee Willis, Audree Willis. She was preceded in death by her her husband Bill Willis; parents J.W. and Arrie Godwin Luther; brothers John D. Luther, Wesley Luther, Edward Luther, J.C. Luther, Frank Luther; sister Lorene Luther Robertson. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
